Adding Products as Accessories See how to use the Accessories feature to manually define specific cross-sell products. Stefan Lorenz Olsen

Clerk.io automatically identifies which products are great for cross-selling, no matter which product a user is looking at, but in special cases, you might want to manually choose a set of products, that should always show up as accessories.

To add accessories, start by going to Recommendations-> Accessories in the side-menu of my.clerk.io.

Accessories Scope

Accessories can be added either to just 1 Store or multiple ones at the same time, giving you the freedom to add rules on your entire account or some specific Stores.

From the Accessories overview, choose Single Store to create accessories for this store only, or Multiple Stores to add cross-Store accessories.

For Multi-Store, you can choose the exact scope under Scope on the Accessories page

Find the product you want to add accessories to, under Product ID.

You can find it in one of two ways:

  • Search for the products ID directly

  • Search for the name of the product

Click on the Product you want to be the main product:

Now you can search in the same way under Accessories, for any product you want to show up as an accessory,

Click on the Products you want to add:

You can follow this process for all the products you want to add.

Products you add under Accessories will become accessories to each other. In the example below, the Swing Time Earrings will be shown as a complementary product to the Pearl Necklace Set and the Pearl Necklace Set will be shown as complementary Swing Time Earrings.

You can also add Directed Accessories which means they only work one way - in this case, the Anchor Bracelet Mens will be shown as complementary to Boho Earrings Set but not the other way around.

When you are done, click Create Accessories.

At this point, your Accessories are created but you still have the possibility to modify it, by clicking on Update Accessories or delete it, by clicking on Delete.

Now you are accessories are active in your Best Cross-Sell slider:

You can see your list of Accessories on Recommendations ->Accessories.
